If you click the Install button, no action will be performed, and the required components will not be installed. This issue is common and can be resolved with a few simple steps. So, in this video, I'm going to show you how to fix this error. To fix this, we have to install GCC and dependencies manually from the terminal; the process will work on all Debian-based Linux operating systems, such as Ubuntu, Debian, Kali Linux, Linux Mint, ParrotOS, etc.
First of all, close the VMware Kernel Module Updater window.
Now open the terminal and perform the following command-
sudo apt install build-essential
Now update and upgrade the system-
sudo apt update && apt upgrade
Now open the VMware Workstation again
This time it will ask to install. Simply click on install, type the root password, and press enter.
During the installation, you may get this error. Simply close it.
And also close this VMware Kernel Module Updater-
Now open VMware Workstation again, this time the error should be fixed, and proceed to the next step.
That's all, guys. The next issue will be fixed in the upcoming blog.
