“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God” (Luke 1:30 KJV)
Wisdom and stature increased will make you rounded in life. Don’t increase in stature alone, it will only make men favour you because they will like your looks and appearance. Remember that man looks on the outward appearance, just like Samuel saw the height of Eliab and almost anointed him king of Israel; 1 Samuel 16:6-7. Favours that come to you just for the way you look only, don’t last long. They are more like empty favours.
But beyond impression, God wants you to be filled with wisdom in your heart or subconscious. This kind of endowment will cause God to open doors of favour for you without any reservation. God will not open a door of opportunity when He knows you do not have the wisdom to manage or maximize it. That is why wisdom is the principal thing before anything else. That was why God was very impressed with the prayer of Solomon in 1 Kings 3:7-14. He asked for wisdom and nothing else. When God sees that a person is in pursuit for wisdom, He gets to bless them unreservedly, and with confidence because where wisdom is in place several other things can take place.
But Jesus found favour with God and with man. Why? Because He increased in stature and with wisdom. He was well rounded, He did not leave any of those areas of His life unattended to. He took care of His physical self as well as His mental/spiritual self. He was good looking in appearance and was sound in wisdom as well. Once again, stature or good looks will bring you favour before men, and wisdom will bring you into favour with God. Jesus did not just have them, He increased in them, and enjoyed favour while here on earth.
