Luke 4:14-21
A three year-old child can exchange one thousand naira note for twenty-naira worth of biscuits. The simple reason is; that the innocent lad does not know the value of the money. This is exactly how those who don’t understand their value or purpose exchange their lives for cheap things like illicit sex, drugs, alcohol and other sinful habits.
It is said that “when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse becomes inevitable”. Many people are doing things they were not created to do thus leaving them frustrated and with a lack of satisfaction. Jesus started His work, by stating His mission. Imagine if Jesus did not know what His purpose on earth was and decided to follow Joseph’s profession, there would not have been any sense of satisfaction in His life.
There is need to know and understand the purpose for which you were created, in order to find fulfillment on this side of eternity. We have only one life to live, we need to seek God’s face to reveal to us what He has in mind for us to accomplish on earth. When we find out what God destined for us to do, we will live a joyful life that will give glory to Him and bless humanity.
Ask the Lord to help you to understand and fulfill your purpose on earth to the glory of His name.
