“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all” (Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV)
Today we want to look at one major secret of favour. According to our text, we can see that fast people don’t always win the race, strong people don’t always come out victorious in battles, wise people don’t always have food to eat, and brilliant people are not always favoured; but one thing happens to them all. It is called time and chance.
Time refers to season, while chance refers to opportunity. So, we could say that season and opportunity happen to them all. Note the words “them all”. Everyone who has succeeded or failed in life has had their time (season) or opportunities. But much more than that, the living bible version says “it is being at the right place at the right time.”
There is nothing as powerful as divine timing, divine orchestration and divine meetings and placements, which is what we call being at the right place at the right time. But only God make this happen. Here are some of what it takes to be at the right place at the right time.
Let God lead you:
There is a place that God had prepared for you, and He is willing to lead you there by His Spirit. Exodus 23:20.
Be willing to obey God no matter what:
The word says “if you obey and serve God, you will spend your days in prosperity and your years in pleasure”.
