Philippians 4:10, 15, 17-19 KJV.
Anyone who is serious about being favoured will not joke with opportunities. They are actually better described as “opportunity hunters”, as they have a very good eye for possible opportunity openings. They can identify opportunities from afar and even have the capacity to create when they seem not to be available. The scripture is loaded with all kinds of opportunity creating wisdom, and most importantly, the bible teaches us about channels of blessings and opportunities, and they are as night and day.
Here are a few people and categories of people you must engage in your life time to really connect with favour.
Your Biological Parents: Ephesians 6:2-3 call’s them your father and mother. You are to honour them that it may be well with you, and that you may live long. Which means failure to honour them with your substance (like honorarium and upkeep money) could mean lack of welfare on your part; not to mention the shortage of life – I’m sure you really don’t want to find yourself in such a disadvantaged position.
Your spiritual Parents and Teachers: Ephesians 6:1 speaks of spiritual parents in the Lord, and Galatians 6:6 speaks of sharing or supporting them; not necessarily for their good but for your own good, because your prosperity is tied to utterances from their mouths. 2 Chronicles 20:20. We live in a generation that deeply despises pastors and servants of God, but don’t ever be caught in that trap.
Bless the poor: I will allow the scriptures to speak for itself in this regard.
Psalm 41:1-3 KJV “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness”
You judge for yourself and be wise towards a life of favour in Jesus Name.
