“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof” (Psalms 102:13-14 KJV)

It is important that we always get to know the secrets behind certain verses of the scriptures. Many people quote the fact that the set time for God to arise to favour Zion has come, but not many seek to know the responsibility attached to that declaration. That is what I want to point out to you today.

Before God made that declaration of blessings and favour over Zion, He had noted that they favour virtually everything about His house. The last phrase in our text says that they even favoured the dust of the temple. They were willing to partake in practically everything that moved the work of God forward. They gave, they served, they showed concern, they prayed and interceded, and then God decided that their set time to be favoured had come.

You can’t just quote the scriptures whose responsibility you do not understand. You will experience massive favours when you have a favourable disposition towards the work of God. Become responsive towards things in the house of God. Respond to calls for evangelism, respond to calls to serve God in various units in church. Be responsive towards giving as well. Don’t just stay by; take steps to favour the work of God in Jesus Name.
This is how your set time to be favoured comes.
