“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” KJV. (John 14:30)
We have established the fact that God made this earth for man, and not for devils or demon. Satan knows that he doesn’t have any right or authority over us, but he would do everything to trick us into a corner so as to compromise our authority level or even cease it from you.
Adam once possessed all the authority and power that this world could offer. God made Adam a god in this world, but satan came and deceived him, and then made him to put something into his system, called the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. That singular action compromised Adam and Eve, and he (satan) became the prince or ruler of this world.
It was a dangerous transaction that ruined man for thousands of years. Then came Jesus, the last Adam. After leaving for over thirty three years, and having faced the devil with his temptations; Jesus finally declared that the prince of this world (which is satan) comes and will find nothing of his on Him. Meaning that Jesus has not taken anything from satan, as such the devil had no power over Him.
Let’s see it from other versions of the same verse: “I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” (AMPC).
Sin will compromise your authority; it will weaken your stand and position in the realm of the spirit. Sin will drown your voice in the spirit, and will deprive you of the required force and power that you ought to have against the enemy. Practice daily fellowship with God in the word and prayer, that way you will be sin-free and very bold in the spirit.
Receive grace never to fall for the wiles of satan, and to maintain a strong, solid and uncompromised authority in Jesus Name.
