The Syrian Minister of Defense, General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, paid a formal visit to the Russian forces stationed at the Hmeimim coastal airbase on the occasion of Victory Day.
The top Army commander congratulated the Russian officers and soldier at the coastal base on behalf of the Syrian President Bashar Assad and the Syrian Arab Army.
Ayyoub praises the military and political support provided by Russia to the Syrian government in fighting terrorism.
Both the Syrian and Russian officers observed the joint military parade carried out by Russian and Syrian force.
