"By weakening Iran through sanctions, many [governments] will not be safe," said Rouhani while addressing delegates at the second Speaker’s Conference with a focus on ‘The Challenges of Terrorism and Inter-regional Connectivity.’
"It is better for those who do not believe our words to take a look at a geography map," added the Iranian president who warned against the consequences of what he described as "economic terrorism" levelled against the Islamic Republic.
Parliament speakers of Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, China, and Russia are attending the conference taking place in Tehran on December 7 and 8.
