Lately, Saturday is the day I get to spend more time with my son, Work has been busy and in this messed-up time where many are not working I am happy to be run off my feet.
The weather was awful but we did get to go on some adventures. I bought him his first pet which is a Venus flytrap. He is now talking to it which is a bit odd but it is nice that he has a new friend.
We also went for a trip to check out a job I have to do next week. Massive steel planters that I need to help remove from an office. I wanted to work out how to lift them with a crane. I like my son to give me suggestions on how he would do it and sometimes he actually has good ones. I Still don't know exactly what we will do but drilling through them to connect chains and shackles won't work because they are 4mm thick plate steel and because they weight nearly a tonne each I'll have to summon all my knowledge of Newtonian physics.
My son and I enjoyed a little walk along the Liffey River to look at some of the ships and boats, It was freezing so we cut it short but it's always nice to walk hand in hand with my son while we talk about anything that enters his mind.
Saturday night is bath night but Fintan refused to have his until I made him a toy shark cage with my 3D Pen. This is a fun tool that spits out plastic and you can pretty much draw any object you want. A fun little project for this rainy afternoon.
Have a great weekend peeps.
