I respect your logical view. Unfortunately only after dealing with Russian oligarchs you learn that their mentality is destructive. Its very much like FB and Google, I am not pro hegemony but I am pro correct principles and good values.
While in the "West" cynical people taking advantage of the capitalism, at the least there is some measures of shame. In Russia you just need to be friends with Putin to succeed. Thats poor values and no surprise that this will fail.
Liberman is a criminal. His daughters account was used to launder money, his entire party found guilty in bribery and witnesses in his trial "disappeared". It reminds the "jumping of" Mazal Hadadi in Lev Leviev's trial.
The Russian oligarchs mentality is to brutally kill. They are even proud of it. Again, the "West" has many issues with hypocrisy, but that is oligarchs pretending to be "western" such as the people behind the medical companies and oil industries. But at least in the "West" we can protest and help reaching awareness. If China and Russia will put aside their conflicts to take the "West" down, those bullies hiding in the medical and oil companies won't have to hide anymore. They will be friends with Putin and the party and they will rob in broad day light.
