I agree that there are many dangers with China 🇨🇳 especially in the field of privacy and human rights. There is something much more free in Russia 🇷🇺 that could attract libertarians, but unfortunately this "freedom" is translated into few bullies taking for themselves. Eastern Europe was robed by Russian Oligarchs for years. While US is not a saint, and hegemony and monopolies are always bad, we still see that the USA values and their constitution provides the best middle ground.
We need balance in the world. Putin is an anti balance trigger. Sooner or later he will be gone, but the destruction he lives behind will hurt Russians long after he is gone. The sooner Russians will kick Putin but also the Oligarchs grip, the faster they will recover. Free media is a necessary tool to do this, and in this area, Russia is not much better than China. You can see how Hive is thriving in the US and how golos failed.
