Its nice today to be a developer. Companies run after each "talent" offering nice sallaries.
Its easy as a developer to start think the sun shines from your ass.
But the last time I checked the sun shines in the sky and the asses of my colleagues are regular asses producing the same shit as any other asses.
But enough talking about asses lets talk about developers.
Every once in a while economy is generating a new demand. It was ij the 20th century that any farmer with oil in his backyard became a millionare (back then when a million was a lot).
The Covid19 reminds us how we depend (or captured) on our helth system where senior doctors can ask for any amount they want both in the private sector or if they are medium politicians, in the public sector.
Bankers in wallstreet are making the comeback after the 2008 breakdown that exposed those traders making more damage than any good and making billions on the way.
Crypto investors that managed to pull since 2016 can choose how to spend their money without working.
So developers can be reminded that workin their ass off and selling their time isn't such a huge deal even if the hourly pay is high.
But still today experienced developers are so scarce compare to demand that they get in the party of equity.
Will it last forever? Probably not.
There is a saying that everyone enjoys the tide but only when there is a low you can see who swims without underware.
Not sure if and when the low will come. Its cold in the low, but its interesting to look around.
