We all like to see stories about quick success. But when something seems quick it can be due to several different reasons. Allow me to generalize to 2 main categories -
Many quick wins are actually gambles in a win lose game (zero sum game). This concept has no growth prospect.
The players bring their money to the table and just battle for a redistribution.
The reap what you saw has an optical illusion. The ripeness is a small time window, but it follows a long process of building and growth. You can't reap unless you plant the seeds and water them.
In Hive its easy to think many are "high rollers". The prize pool also focuses people on the zero sum game. They start downvote each other to battle. But this is small tactics that won't make anyone richer. The opposite, its a waste of energy. The true prise will come from building the platform. From watering the little seeds. The many people that will join and create value that we can not even start to imagine. People with creativity that will paint write film and create. Stores, dating, engineering... so many communities can be built here on this platform and attract people who will understand this much more fair alternative to share and communicate.
