Yellow foliage against a blue sky

Today was beautiful weather. It was cool, but the sun was shining in the sky. And if the sun is shining, then the world turns bright and attractive.

This wonderful state of nature made me go outside for a walk. The usual route is along the avenue to the city center and then further to the Volga River.

I live in a small Russian provincial town of Kostroma. This city is located on the Volga River. It is autumn and all the trees around have turned yellow-orange. That's very beautiful.

I already talked about my curse. It is worth taking a camera with you for a walk - a cloud will immediately fly over, close the sun and also add rain. The picture will be boring and not interesting. But you should leave the camera at home - there will be something wonderful on the street that you must take a picture of. This is Murphy’s law.

Today everything happened just like that. I went without a camera and immediately met a gorgeous tree all in yellow foliage against a blue sky. It was simply amazing and I decided that I won’t go anywhere until I photograph this miracle.

I took my Samsung out of my pocket and took a few shots. I admit, I'm already starting to trust the smartphone to take photos, but so far I don’t really know how to manage this process. I do not understand very well what the brightness and contrasts will be in the photo, looking at the smartphone screen during shooting. Also, I don't understand where the sharpness will be. In general, a lot of questions that I don’t really like as a photographer using a SLR camera. But I do something the same way as in my DSLR.
Firstly, I shoot in a raw format so that I can adjust the picture after shooting.
Secondly, I’m doing a few takes to choose the best. I leave processing for the computer.

Admittedly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that I use has the ability to close the aperture to 2.4. This is not very bad, although, of course, I want even more.

In general, thanks to the smartphone from Samsung, I received these pictures today. Autumn has already come tightly to our city and to Russia. The other day, hydrometeorologists promise snow.
I hope tomorrow will be the same weather as today and I can take good photos on my DSLR.
