I was at the hair salon yesterday and i met an old woman in her early sixties. She came to perm her hair and we got talking.

Her grey hairs surely are not in vain as this woman was filled with wisdom especially in money management and investments. Through our discussion i got to know that while thousands of Nigerians were distressed because of lack of cash that besieged the economy few months ago this woman didn't experience any of it.

When the new money came out, i went to the bank and withdrew very huge sum and kept at home

WAS IT THAT SHE WAS ABLE TO ENVISAGE WHAT WOULD BEFALL THE ECONOMY AND QUICKLY TOOK ACTIVE MEASURES?

Remembering how i suffered during that horrible cash brouhaha made me to feel bad again, it was that bad. We used our money to buy money.

THE GAME OF BEING ONE STEP AHEAD

We were still discussing when someone brought some goods that the old woman bought from their shop and she instructed him to help her pack them inside her car. They are cartons of drinks and gallons of groundnut oil. She turned to me and explained that her daughter's marriage is on July but she is buying things needed for the wedding already because she doesn't know how the economy will look like after government hand-over in May.

I grabbed my leason immediately and thanked her.

In life it is always important to stay one step ahead.
