I wake up today not feeling so excited especially when i have all reasons to be. Today happened to be my birthday and there was a lot of things that needed to be done at my place of work.
There was this meeting that i have with a client that was slated at 11:00am. It took me quiet some time to be able to locate the venue. After the meeting i decided to go have a ME TIME to think about my life. We are already at the second quarter of the year and before one can say Jack Robinson December would be dancing in front of us.
I can count many things that i am yet to achieve or that is going on wrong in my life but then i decided to take note of what I am most grateful for. It was there that I realized how richly blessed that i am. One cannot buy life from the market even if they have all the money in the world. To be able to be here right now is a huge blessing which i have taken for granted. I thought of my family that loves me so much, my girls, my friends both in hive and outside of hive. They are so precious because they cannot be bought with money.
I went back to work feeling happy and grateful for another phase of life. There was a lot going on at work as i said and everybody was so busy. My friends were calling me for a girl's hangout to celebrate my birthday and i promised them that we will do so. I didn't get off work till around 7:40pm and i was so tired to my bones thus i went straight back home.
Getting home i rushed to the bathroom to take a cold shower and when i came out my daughter handled me the gift she made for me. This was a cake she drew by herself and then wrote i love you mum.
This really got me emotional and i hugged her tightly. It was moments like this that i hold dearly in my heart and cherish forever. We went to the sitting room and there i saw a cake and pizza on the table and then my children and their nanny started singing a birthday song for me. I can't control the tears of joy as they fall uncontrollably down my cheek. They prayed for one one after the other afterwhich i cut my cake.
How did they pull this out? It turned out that they have been saving to give me this suprise. This made my day the most and i thanked them for celebrating me even when earlier today i never thought of celebrating. My friends kept calling on phone for our night out but i have to cancel.
My family first
I promised to make it up to them during the weekned which is way better since its so obvious we would be having a hangover.
