Greetings dear readers, currently in my country Venezuela because of the pandemic and the dire economic situation that the country is going through, many people have tried to diversify their income by undertaking different businesses, which show their skills. But sometimes entrepreneurship does not depend on one person, especially when there is a united family nucleus and where each family member is important for the development of any project, in that sense, in the family nucleus those who hold the reins are the father and mother who have managed to guide their children, but is that an indicator that they will be successful if they start a business together?

In the first place, in spite of the couple's coexistence, there must be common goals and objectives as a starting point, since, if there is no coincidence in the expectations they have, it is not possible to consolidate the idea or project, among the things that must be taken into account are the following:

Of course, sometimes not everything depends on what you both want, there must be a market study that allows you to make the right decisions to know for example the location of the business, for example my wife and I decided to open an establishment for the sale of food, we both came to the conclusion that due to the difficult economic situation of the country that was a market that was in high demand, then we decided that we should establish it in the sector where we live because there is not much competition and we could meet a need of the inhabitants of the sector. The decision we made was the right one, because we have been in our venture for a year and we have taken sure steps to achieve consolidation in the medium and long term.

Another aspect to consider are the individual skills that each one has to put them into practice in each area of the business, among the areas are the administrative, marketing, purchasing and others, in this way you can delegate responsibilities according to the ability that you have in this way the balance is achieved, just as they have managed to establish it at home.

It is also important to be objective when making a decision. Decision-making can be shared, but to achieve this, direct, ethical and professional communication must be maintained with the partner, always making it clear that personal problems should not be mixed with work problems, since, if this is not clear, an unpleasant work environment could be generated that will not allow ideas and activities to flow in a harmonious and organized manner.

It is also important to delimit the time to be dedicated to the business, in this aspect as in the others there must be a balance, since the business partner is your partner, therefore, both also have responsibilities at home with maintenance work, food, cleaning and of course the care of children, for this, you can apply some organizational techniques to be more efficient such as the SCRUM method that was described by me in the following article:

Dear readers, last but not least, but it could be the first aspect to consider, to start a business as a couple you must have a consolidated relationship so that each aspect mentioned in the article can be developed with harmony and security, because otherwise we could run the risk of wasting time and money in something that may never be consolidated, because if you cannot reach an agreement at home, much less can you achieve it in a business, where communication and organization must be effective in favor of the development of a business in common.
