If reports making around at the on going African Games is anything to go by in regards to the complain put forward by Athletes repenting Nigeria is to be believed that the $100 daily allowance given to then is too small as such demanded for an increases in the allowance.
Since the issue of allowance came up, many back home in Nigeria have being talking about it for different reasons, while some wished the Athletes allowance can be increased, others appeal to the Athletes to bear it as the current situation of the country warrant it.
Irrespective of the angles one might be looking at it from, it is clear that no amount will be enough to pay the Athletes but it is far better than the Athletes being promised $500 and not getting it. As it stand in Nigeria today, it right time for different sports federations to source for alternative means of getting fund to support these Athletes as over dependence in government will not help to grow and support this Athletes at all time.
