I didn’t commit any crime but yesterday’s rain restricted my movement. Or is it an offense to plan activities outdoors.

I never expected such a rainstorm yesterday. Though the sky was a bit cloudy, I have no inkling that a downpour is on its way. I decided to take my umbrella to keep me dry should it shower. Though we are in the rainy season, we have been experiencing light rain over the past week.

I just stepped out when the sky suddenly darkened. It started drizzling and the wind was too strong that I couldn’t hold my umbrella. I ducked out of the rain, grateful that I can still find shelter in a closed shop. Some stores haven’t opened for the day, so I was lucky.

It rained cats and dogs. I wished I had stayed a few minutes longer at home. While waiting for the rain to stop, the cold became unbearable. I wasn’t wearing a cardigan. About an hour later, the downpour decreased. I opened my umbrella and scampered home.

Despite, the umbrella, I was drenched when I reach. The distance wasn’t up to a 10 minutes’ walk. However, I was grateful as it started raining heavily again a few minutes after I got home. I changed into dry clothes and a cardigan. I also took hot chocolate to keep me warm.

Though I like watching raindrops when it rains, yesterday was different. It rained heavily till evening. I was bored. There wasn’t much to do at home and cold didn’t help either. I had planned to braid my hair later in the day but I couldn’t perform any of my outdoor activities.

What a day to be lazy. I read some pages of Origin by Dan Brown to keep me busy. However, I felt trapped as I couldn’t go out. My indoor experience yesterday was a house arrest. The rain restricted my movement against my wish. I hope today will be sunny and warm.
