Many people make the mistake of preparing for a wedding instead of a marriage. A wedding is an event. Marriage is a journey. If you don't prepare for marriage or you jump into it because of the pressure of age and rivalry, you may soon find that it is better to be single and wanting to marry than to be married and wanting to be single.
Jesus said in Luke 14:28-29 "suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won't you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you" .
Marriage is a tower of love that should only be entered in by those prepared for it by way of laying a good foundation. The consequences of a failed marriage go beyond the persons involved. It brings trauma for other as well, especially if there are children involved.
The big question is this, are you planning a wedding or a marriage?
