Trust is one of the most important personality trait one must possess in life.

Trust is having confidence in yourself as well as the people around you, Trust is having firm belief in people around you.

Trust is earned and once it is gained, we should never loose it. In every relationship, trust is very important.

So I heard the story of two friends that went out on a date:

They had ordered their food and drinks, but while chatting and waiting for the waiter, one of the friends got a call and had to excuse herself.

The waiter had brought their drinks before she came back, and her friend had asked the waiter to open both drinks.

This friend got there and became upset, questioning her friend asking why she'd open her drink in her absence? she immediately call back the waiter and requested for another drink.

The other friend felt so bad about this,

"what are you implying"

She asked, do you think I'd poison your drink? You're my best friend for crying out loud, is this how shallow you think of me?

She felt betrayed by her friend, left the restaurant, blocked her on all social media accounts and deleted her contact, she vowed never to be friends with her again.

A relationship is based on trust, be it a friendship or courtship.

Truly we have seen cases of friends betrayal, so many friends poison each other, even some family members do. So the other friend is understandable to a default.

When I heard about the case, i didn't know what to think or who to blame but I know for sure that:

Trust is important and so is boundaries,

I feel the 1st friend should have known her boundaries and have waited for the 2nd friend to come back before asking the waiter to open her drink.

But it is also understandable that she did it with a open mind, i believe my friend trusts me so why can't i open her drink for her.

The second lady was also wrong not to have trusted her friend enough, why go out with someone you don't trust, why excuse yourself when you knew she could do anything in your absence, why rub it to her face that you don't trust her?

What's your take on this?
Who do you think was right or wrong?
