I wasn't feeling very ambitious when I got out of bed today, the grass mowing yesterday had me aching pretty much. Once I had my couple of cups of coffee with honey in them, I was moving without too much trouble, so I went out to the greenhouse to check on the plants. While I was out there, I decided that it was time to transplant the two Early Girl tomato plants into the big pots where they'll stay for the growing season. The plants were kind of dry and looking like they were getting root bound.
I don't have all the big pots prepared for planting yet, but I had 3 pots ready, and I only needed 2 pots for the plants, so I started on that. Here's the pots, set up in the south east corner of the greenhouse, ready to be planted.
After getting the tomato plants into the pots. I also planted one marigold plant with each tomato plant. The marigolds seem to help the tomatoes resist some types of bugs.
I also decided to put my strawberry pots outside for a while today, I figured the light breeze wouldn't bother them and they get better sun outside. If you look close, you can see a couple of the strawberries starting to change color. They're starting to ripen.
Since I was already out in the greenhouse, I decided to put all the little tomato plant sprouts into pots, they were starting to grow roots out of the peat pods that the seeds were planted in.

Here they are in their new pots. I also had 3 late sprouting tomato plants in the house, so I brought those out also.
I also remembered to grab a couple of tomato cages and put them in the big pots with the newly replanted Early Girl tomato plants.
The yellow things hanging on the tomato cages are sticky bug traps from last fall. They're still sticky, so I left them on the cages for just in case. I'm really hoping that I don't have any bug problems this year, but it's best to be prepared for it, just in case.
