Hello, steemians! Welcome to my music room, eh!

A couple of days ago, I posted part 1 of this story, this is part 2. (obviously, right?)

Let's take a look at where the process was at when I stopped working on it on Saturday.
The far end of the room is the last piece of carpeting and foam carpet backing that I had left to remove. As you can see, I had a bunch of stuff piled on that end of the room that needed to be moved before I could pull out the rest of the carpet.

I started on it again on Sunday afternoon. It was a pain in the back to move all that stuff to get at the rug, but I managed to get it done. I started in the right hand corner and pulled out the shelf unit and other stuff in the way so that I could clear that corner. Once I got the rug out of the corner, I started moving stuff into the corner from the rug to continue the process.

Almost done!

One of the first things that I noticed about the room without the carpet in it was the way it sounded "hollow". Not having the carpet changed the acoustics of the room in a way that wasn't helpful. Since I had planned on getting an area rug to put in the middle of the room at some point anyway, I decided to see if I could just put a couple of the carpet strips back into the middle of the room until I can get around to getting an area rug for the room. I decided to lay the first rug strip down the middle of the room to see how it would fit.

After a bit of messing around and moving stuff to where I wanted it, I could see a difference in the room with the strip of carpeting. I decided to get another strip of carpeting to put next to the one that I had in the room. The strip that I had put in the room was the last one that I had removed, so I found the strip that had been cut off of the last strip so that the edges would match when I put it back in. After moving more stuff and getting the second piece of carpet back in the room, I was pretty happy with the results, for now.

This is about as far as I'm going to get for now. I need to get another desk or narrow table to put a couple pieces of my equipment on, and eventually an area rug, but for now, this will work. Now I have to get the equipment set up again so that I can get back to recording some music. I think this will also make it easier to do a live music video, such as for open mic performances. I'm looking forward to getting back to work on some music.

That's all I have for this post, I hope you found it interesting!

Thanks for stopping by my page to check out my post, eh!
