You have explained your stance very well on what we should buy and what we shouldn't. I also think the same way. I think we keep the capacity to buy what is necessary if we stop spending on what is not necessary.
I wanted to buy a mincer chopper to make my kitchen work easier. I kept on saving the money instead spending it on clothing or else and yes the time came when I bought what I needed. I once (6 years ago) bought a laptop the same way. I kept my urges in control so that I could buy the necessary item. Those items brought ease in my life in multiple ways and also facilitate me to earn more.
