Love is indeed at the core of any beautiful relation. It is not possible to give sscrifices snd be selfless if love is absent. However, love shouldn't mean be spoiling our k8ds. Instead it should mean to train them to be able to build their and others lives.

I agree on the point that parents should have haigh moral conduct. There are several things that kids learn unconsciously by the behavior of their parents and those things go with them all the life.

About respect I would say children deserve as much respect as we want for ourselves. Respect is a mirror. You get waht you give.
