“Money cannot buy happiness,” all of us have long been hearing the saying. However, it cannot undermine the importance of money in our lives.
Money is the very thing all of us for our survival in this world. It is the money that brings us food and all the other necessities of life. Money makes it possible for us to acquire and create more resources.
Even if money cannot buy happiness, it saves us from so many miseries we would be facing without money. It also facilities the attainment of the things that make the way to our happiness.
The interesting thing about money is that it works for us when we spend it. Accumulating money is of no use unless we are ready to pay it out for our desired service or object. Nevertheless, it is never wise to spend everything without saving a portion of it.
Like all other areas of life, balance is the key to healthy fiscal life. Whatever you earn, a portion of it must be saved for rainy days. Nonetheless, it is equally important to spend a part of the earning to have comfort and joy in your life.
My father used to say that the only money that is yours is the one that you spend with your hands (either on yourself or others). It is the fact we need to understand. Do we own anything once we are dead? Nothing. The only thing we owned was just what we had spent.
Although I am not someone who spends unwisely yet understanding the aforementioned fact, I do not refrain from spending my money on the things that I deem important.
There are certain times in life when financial circumstances are tough and there is a need to cut down expenses. At times, you are broke but still certain important things are needed to be purchased.
If I ever broke, I am sure health is the thing I will not compromise on. Even if I have to sell my assets I would go for it.
There came time in my life when I had to pay for the doctor and treatment. I utilized each penny of the savings I had.
At that time there were many other things in my mind that I wanted to purchase but I controlled my urges to keep the savings with me. However, when the question was of health, I took that money out.
It is because health is the most important element for a joyful life. Ailments and compromised health status creates restrains and troubles in several dimensions.
A healthy body and a healthy mind is capable of earning and saving more money. On the other hand, the money saved in locker can bring no delight and solace if your or a family member’s health is compromised.
Once the health status is maintained, I would go on spending on the thing that would enable me to earn money (and so the other resources of life). Currently, it is the internet 😀.
I do not need internet for passing time (I am already short of time and don’t have any that I need to pass). I am not into socialising activities either (like facebook and chatting).
However, I am on Hive and Dreemport. These are my source of earning; and without internet there is no way to go about them.
For a person like me who is a stay-at-home, internet is the entity that opens up ways for earning. If not one, then the other.
Internet service is also important for academic purposes. With the facility it is quite easy to access the required information.
Internet is also crucial for connecting people across the world. Using telecommunication for connection is quite expensive while the data/internet apps make it a lot cheaper to connect. Thus, Internet is more fulfilling for our connectivity needs.
In short, if I experience the circumstances of being broke I would necessarily buy internet service and would not refrain me from spending on the health needs be it food or medical treatment.
