Excellent piece. Looking forward to listening to the Richard Dolan video.
It seems like accurate reporting of information doesn't often come right away since things are often complicated and nuanced. And it seems that accuracy is a byproduct of people engaging with each other and making connections together. The role of the media can inquire into at least 3 other multiple perspectives on any given topic, inviting the public to expand out of any fixed narrative and think in deeper ways. More media that role models public debate across differences. This naturally leads to "division-resistance" politics. Organizing groupthink around singular perspectives (especially ones that benefit the control regime) keep us divided and mis/uninformed.
