It's interesting to think about how to keep predators out. Maybe there can also be some sort of structured process before people attend the GSG's. Like talk with a GSG facilitator 1:1 about your needs beforehand, and also process the guidelines together too so you know what to expect and how to contribute. Being attended to on a more intimate level could help people feel met where they are first, which could prevent them from being disrespectful. On the other hand, doing this might allow a GSG facilitator to get a good sense whether it's appropriate for the person to attend one. A database to document each person would serve as a way to keep track of who's coming, and as River said, it would be a transparent process so that people know what data is being collected and why.

Attending to everyone individually is a big deal though. But after a while, it would only be new people not in the system.

Maybe ordinary citizens can step up and take a leadership role in their local areas around this. De-escalating situations, helping out with the vetting. Hehe...
