Regreso a la Tierra, Epilogo.

Humanos y Goeis no entablarón amistad, no se trató de un encuentro convulsionado, pero con un final feliz. Después del ataque en el Bosque Sagrado, donde los rebeldes fueron capturados, nunca ambas especies volvieron a estar en contacto directo una con la otra, y esté último contacto no se trató de un apretón de manos o algún tipo de afectuoso saludo, fue sólo la entrega de los más de cien capturados.

Fueron pocos los que lograron escapar, y ellos serían problema de las autoridades de Goeis. Pero los líderes, incluyendo al comandante, antigua regente del linaje de los lagos, se encontraban dispersos en las jaulas en las que fueron entregados a las tropas fieles a las Matriarcas; quienes no se vieron muy agradecidos o contentos con la captura de sus congéneres. Era claro que el sentimiento de los revelados, era compartido por el resto de los Goeis, pero el temor a una ofensiva humana, apaciguaba cualquier deseo de agresión de toda la raza.

La superioridad militar y tecnológica, de los descendientes de los antiguos pobladores de este planeta fue el factor determinante en este primer encuentro de los humanos de Perseo, con una especie alienígena inteligente.

Después del ataque, las misiones de exploración se mantuvieron por otras tres semanas, hasta concluir con la lista de objetivos, la mayor parte de ellos fueron completados exitosamente, sólo en pocos casos, las bóvedas habían colapsado y sus contenidos se había perdido parcial o totalmente.

Después de poco más de tres meses de la llegada de los humanos a su antiguo planeta y ochos al sistema solar, la pequeña flota de exploración se retiró rumbo a Apolo, a través del puente que fue provisionalmente instalado, no hubo ningún tipo de despedida del antiguo mundo humano, ni de sus actuales moradores.

Tras los exploradores, tres días después, se retiró el contingente militar; no sin antes eliminar cualquier forma de tecnología humana que había quedado olvidada o abandonada. Para ello, una nube de nanobots devoradores fue lanzada, la cual, tras recorrer todo el continente, desintegrando todo lo humano de antes y después del éxodo, se dispersó y los bots mismos terminaron evaporándose.

Cualquier rastro actual o pasado de la humanidad en la Tierra había sido borrado, nada quedaba ya en aquel mundo que guardará una relación con los descendientes de Perseo. Ya no quedaba nada de la antigua Tierra, en Goa.

La última nave en cruzar el puente fue la Altair, y fue la receptora del último mensaje Goei a los humanos, “Las Matriarcas agradecen su intervención en sofocar la revuelta de algunos de nuestros yos, pero les pedimos que no regresen más a Goa, o deberán atenerse a las consecuencias, que esa acción, puede acarrear de nuestra parte.”. Eso había sido lo acordado, los humanos se retirarían y olvidarían para siempre de la Tierra y el Sistema Solar.

Tras cruzar el puente, Darío dio la orden de destruirlo, un explosivo sembrado en su interior revirtió la materia de masa negativa que lo estabilizaba y lo hizo colapsar sobre sí mismo, cerrándose para siempre.

Back to Earth, Epilogue.

Humans and Goeis did not become friends, it was not a convulsed encounter, but with a happy ending. After the attack on the Sacred Forest, where the rebels were captured, never both species were in direct contact with each other again, and this last contact was not a handshake or some kind of affectionate greeting, it was only the surrender of the more than one hundred captured.

Few managed to escape, and they would be the problem of the Goeis authorities. But the leaders, including the commander, former regent of the lineage of the lakes, were scattered in the cages in which they were delivered to the troops faithful to the Matriarchs; who were not very grateful or happy with the capture of their fellow men. It was clear that the feeling of the revealed ones was shared by the rest of the Goeis, but the fear of a human offensive appeased any desire of aggression of the whole race.

The military and technological superiority of the descendants of the ancient inhabitants of this planet was the determining factor in this first encounter of Perseus' humans with an intelligent alien species.

After the attack, the exploration missions were maintained for another three weeks, until concluding with the list of objectives, most of them were successfully completed, only in a few cases, the vaults had collapsed and their contents had been partially or totally lost.

A little more than three months after the arrival of humans to their old planet and eights to the solar system, the small exploration fleet withdrew to Apollo, through the bridge that was provisionally installed, there was no farewell of the old human world, nor of its current dwellers.

After the explorers, three days later, the military contingent withdrew; but not before eliminating any form of human technology that had been forgotten or abandoned. To this end, a cloud of devouring nanobots was launched, which, after travelling all over the continent, disintegrating everything human before and after the exodus, dispersed and the bots themselves ended up evaporating.

Any current or past trace of humanity on Earth had been erased, nothing was left in that world that will have a relationship with the descendants of Perseus. There was nothing left of the ancient Earth, in Goa.

The last ship to cross the bridge was the Altair, and it was the receiver of the last Goei message to humans, "The Matriarchs thank you for your intervention in stifling the revolt of some of our selves, but we ask you not to return to Goa any longer, or you must abide by the consequences that this action may bring on our part". That had been agreed, humans would withdraw and forget forever the Earth and the Solar System.

After crossing the bridge, Darius gave the order to destroy it, an explosive planted in its interior reversed the matter of negative mass that stabilized it and made it collapse on itself, closing itself forever.
