El antiguo edificio del parlamento de Palas se desplazaba en medio del cielo del planeta transportado a su nueva ubicación, ya no seria más el centro de Nike, la capital del planeta. Su nuevo destino sería Calíope una moderna ciudad del hemisferio sur, donde sería reubicado y convertido en un museo que documentaría la antigua vida política de Palas.

Los humanos ya cumplían siete mil años de haber llegado a este planeta, cuando oficialmente el primer contingente de colonos empezó su trabajo de hacer este mundo, recientemente terraformado, en uno, realmente habitable, para los antiguos habitantes de Perseo y otras colonias menos agradables.

Planetas como Palas, con un entorno tan amigable con los requerimientos humanos, han sido colonizados pocos, muchos de ellos ya tenían especies nativas, por lo que no podían ser habitados, y los otros llegaron a tener tales condiciones gracias a varios siglos de procesos de ingeniería planetaria, que no siempre lograban resultados tan buenos como los de Palas.

Victoria observaba a través de la ventana de la burbuja de observación de la nave, al enorme edificio de forma piramidal, flotar entre las nubes como si no pesara nada, lo que en cierta forma era cierto, el haz de reversión del campo gravitón, tenia el efecto de convertir a materia de masa negativa, los objetos en que incidía, luego, gracias a simples paneles de levitación magnética, se conseguía que cualquier objeto sin importar su masa, flotara suavemente.

Mañana ella sería la encargada de presidir los actos de inauguración del nuevo museo, los cuales serían a la vez parte de una celebración aún más grande, la de los siete mil años de Palas, la cual duraría prácticamente todo el año. Las olimpiadas de las colonias, y otros torneos deportivos, serian realizados este año en el planeta, así como festivales y eventos culturales de todo tipo.

Como parte del evento, el Parlamento sería trasladado de su sede permanente, en Heracles, a Nike donde ocuparía el nuevo edificio del parlamento planetario, y sesionarían en conjunto. Durante todo un año Palas sería el centro de toda la vida cultural y política de los mundos habitados, millones de visitantes de todos ellos llegarían a participar del evento.

The old parliament building of Palas moved in the middle of the sky of the planet transported to its new location, it would no longer be the center of Nike, the capital of the planet. Its new destination would be Calliope, a modern city in the southern hemisphere, where it would be relocated and converted into a museum that would document the ancient political life of Palas.

Humans were already seven thousand years old when the first contingent of settlers officially began their work of making this newly terraformed world into a truly habitable one for the ancient inhabitants of Perseus and other less pleasant colonies.

Planets such as Palas, with an environment so friendly to human requirements, have been colonized few, many of them already had native species, so they could not be inhabited, and others came to have such conditions thanks to several centuries of planetary engineering processes, which did not always achieve results as good as those of Palas.

Victoria observed through the window of the observation bubble of the ship, the enormous pyramid-shaped building, floating between the clouds as if nothing weighed, which in a certain way was true, the reversion beam of the graviton field, had the effect of converting to matter of negative mass, the objects that it affected, then, thanks to simple magnetic levitation panels, it was possible that any object, regardless of its mass, floated smoothly.

Tomorrow she would be in charge of presiding over the inauguration of the new museum, which would be at the same time part of an even bigger celebration, that of the seven thousand years of Palas, which would last practically the whole year. Colonial Olympics, and other sports tournaments, would be held this year on the planet, as well as festivals and cultural events of all kinds.

As part of the event, the Parliament would be moved from its permanent headquarters in Heracles to Nike where it would occupy the new planetary parliament building, and would sit together. For a whole year Palas would be the center of all the cultural and political life of the inhabited worlds, millions of visitors from all of them would come to participate in the event.
