Prince Forever! My entry for today's color challenge. His PURPLE Highness!
---
I just want to take a moment and remember the late, great Prince Rogers Nelson on this purple Sunday, July 23, 2017.
He was truly a gifted soul whose presence on this earth for the 57 years that he was here raised the collective consciousness of this world. His spirit and light gave off some of the highest positive energy attractor fields possible. He was all about love, giving love, making love, receiving love, and just being love. His music and his aura is still a beacon of light that shines on even after he has gone.
I so regret never meeting him, especially since he was so accessible but I never really knew that because of life struggles over the years keeping me distracted. My poem, The Reach is about the regret I feel by not reaching out to him and being his friend. Shoot, I probably would have been a member of his NPG band as a singer! But, I never reached out. And now I can't. And it still hurts, even though he's been gone going on two years.
I did see him live in concert three times though. He was absolutely amazing to see. His concerts were so electrifying and on level 10 the whole time. They would make you feel like they took us off the planet and brought us back when it was over. I wish I had seen him many more times.
Purple has always been my favorite color and Purple Rain has been my favorite song ever since I first heard it, and to this day, it still makes me cry, even more so now that he's gone. And the movie Purple Rain is my favorite as well.
I don't think I'll go up to Paisley Park for the tours. It would just make me sad because I didn't go when he was living. I watched a tour on YouTube though. It is definitely a magical place.
Well, I didn't mean to go on like this. I just meant to post the pic for the Color Challenge, but the color purple means something special to me because I associate it with Prince, who is dear to my heart, and when I'm touched or influenced by something, I write. It's what I do.
