Hi stemian friend. This is my first experience of traveling to Meulaboh Aceh province. Here I find a unique way of drinking coffee. Typically, drinking coffee is done by slurping from lips to glass cups. But precisely coffee served with a glass upside down on a small plate. History of kupi khop. That said, the reversed coffee cups are inspired by the Teuku umar cap. Kupi khop often found on the west coast of Aceh, identical as drinking among sailors. Coffee deliberately served upside down to keep warm and free of dust when left to go to sea. In addition, the coffee served upside down affects the flavors offered because the aroma of coffee is maintained in a glass. To enjoy kupi khop there are two ways. First by lifting the plate then the coffee will come out and sip slowly. This must be done carefully so that coffee does not spill. Second, use a straw to stagnate out the glass. No need to worry about the pulp because it will float is held so it will not drinking. This is a great coffee experience I've never tasted.
