This was one of the occastions I have attainted this year that gave a kind of Joy that will not be easy for me to forget in a hurry because my last born maticulated that day, And she is only undergraduate I have now among my seven children a life by God's grace; Lord to you be all the glory in Jesus Name Amen. Friends the matrix occasion started with order of proceeding,Guest are seated,Academic procession moves to the maticulation arena according to Faculties,in alphbetical order.(1)Matriculants,(2) Senate Members,(3)Vice Chancellors in procession in their orders.then security agents.And the highlight of the occasion started by 1pm. With Opening prayer led by the univertsity Bursar Emeremadu Mark, Amaefule.
Then the presentation of kolanut was done by his Royal Majesty King Uwadiekwu
The next thing that took place was the wellcome Adress, presented by the university Vice Chancillor professor NDUKWE J. Okeudo; At the course of releasing his address, he made known to all the parents and the matriculating students,If you are Cut in Exams malpractice(expo) that will be the end of you in Abia state university, if you are Cut as a cultisim student you will be expireld out of the school or you are Screend out with forgery certificate into the institution that will be your end in that university as a student; And he went ahead in saying that the number of students matriculating for the year 2024/2025 was 6,512 students. And to the lecturers he said any one that collected illegal levy from any students must surely face the law, And he said a big thanks to the students union for all the effort they makeing to a sure orderlyness and security conscious in the campus.And also showed appreciation to the state Governor for all the renovation works he is doing in the school?,clearing all the old depth the past Administration owned the workers in the university that on behalf of the university Governing Council, including the students who are no more
missings there classes he is saying thank you .And to all the parents he said thank you as well?, for allowing there children to chose' ABSU" as their choice of school to study.
Another highlight of the occasion was the students "OATH" The Registrar rose his Cap and address the Vice _Chancellor as follows;Mr Vice Sir, I Call Upon the matriculating Students to make their declaration of loyalty to the university.Will all the Students please Stand,While he said ;if Iam found to forged credentials to obtain admission into the University, Or that Claimed Credentials are short of the entry requirements for my course of study,I shall deem myself to have forfeited my right to remain a student of the university or take a degree of the university. And so on .
Another presentation was done, presenting the matriculating students which was also done by the Registrar and the Deans of school/Faculties one by one to present there students. The Abia State Governor was represented by the Hon.Chancelor Chief( Mrs) Catherine Ifejika, who spooked about female students not to be allowed to be wearing casual clothes that can bring issues in the school against them, And she explained about things the Governor has done in Abia as a state and to the university as said early by the Vice.And the Vice Chancellor was Called upon to declare the 43"rd matriculation Closed;And all the present stand while the Vice_Chacellor"s Procesion leaves the matriculation arena in reverse order.As they came stating from Mace Bearer,Vice Chancellor and so on.Heads of Department and other of Academics; which their photos are shown here.THANKS FOR HAVEING PATENTS TO READ.
