Welcom back to my channelll!! And follow my steps around Viet Nam!
Today, I would like to tell you about my trip in Huế, a city located in the central of Việt Nam.
Huế was the Imperial city, where lived the Emperors of Nguyễn Dynasty, the last dynasty of Monarchy Age in Việt Nam, who ruled Đại Việt (The Great Việt) Empire until 1945, when President Hồ Chí Minh established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Huế city is well-known for the royal and imperial building. Hue Citadel relic complex was recognized as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO from 1993.
Moreover, Hue owns a calm and peaceful atmostphere with a slow city life, that's why many people from Đà Nẵng city, my hometown, choose Huế as a destination for their holiday, to relax and release all stress after a long working week.
This trip, we didn't visit the famous spot or tourist destination, but we came to the local area, to live the local life..
From Da Nang to Hue, we may follow the National Highway 1A, what we did not choose. We went on a new highway, which has not been opened yet, passing through the mountains and in the middle of the forest.

To get to this Highway, from Da Nang city, we departed at about 1 p.m, went along the CU DE River from the river gate connecting with the ocean, we went against the current to its upstream, the highway starts from there, far inside the mountains.
Fromt the highway, we might look down some residence along the river..
Leaving behind the modern life, we got into the nature...
The road winding around the mountains. Less and less vehicles we could see. At the time we were riding, we did not see anyone on about 70 kilometers in the middle of the forest.
That was an interesting experience. A little bit of scary, because only your group on the road in the forest. If something bad happened, there were no help. However, I will always remember the feeling when I am riding a motorbike on the road of nobody in the middle of nowhere...
The emergency number sign on the road, but there was no number.
Because we did not know what was waiting for us, so we didn't have any plan... Just do whatever we want :>
If you see a stream like this on the side of the road, with clear blue water sparkling under the sun, what would you do??

How often could you swim in the natural pool, created by the rock, surrounded by the forest, with the view of the mountain, and you might see a waterfall on the cliff far away, you know that was the upstream of your pool, with the clouds drifting upon...? There was no other sound but the water flowing through the rock, the wind blowing through the trees, the birds singging...
After a long ride, we took a dip in the stream to clear all the dust, release all the axiety, refresh and get ready for the next ride!
One hour of bathing and sunbathing, we were ready to go, moreover, that was 3 p.m, we had to move unless we wanted to riding in the forest when is gets dark...

There was a dune blocking the road, I thought it was because of the rain few days before our trip, there was landside in this area
With the motorbike, nothing is impossible :))
Few kiometers more, we met the first residence, we knew that we already passed the forest. That was Nam Đông Town.
We got to the flat area. After about 20 kms more, we reached Hue city, and checked in our homestay
We stayed at "Tâm homestay", a nice decorated home located in a quiet alley, but right in the city center, near the walking street. The owner was very friendly, he gave us a hot ginger tea when we came, he also recommended us lots of nice place to visit and eat during our stay.
Really hungry after a long ride, we took a quick shower and went out to eat...
Hue is quite famous for its food, it also known as a city with most delicious food in Viet Nam. But, they cook with really spicy flavour :')
Our first dish was noddles soup, but too hungry, so I forgot to take photos :))
This is a "snack" after meal. chicken feet with lemongrass and kumquat, and of course, "Hue flavour": lots of chillies.
That was just a vendor on the street, but the food were really nice. We also had chicken wind and grilled pork (also forgot to take photos :< )
Sweet soup. A special cuisine in Hue, cooked with all kinds of beans and nuts.
This is coconut ice-cream. The cream are served inside a coconut, with corn, peanut, sticky rice and dry-coconut. All the flavour are harmonized together, become a special taste.
Finally, to finish our food tour, we had some cocktail in a bar, on the second floor, looked down the tourist street.
The next day, we got up at 10 a.m (that was a relaxing trip, you know :)))
Some peaceful streets in Hue..
To begin our day at 12 p.m, we had salty coffee. The coffee beans are roasted with salt, to make a special flavour, mixed with condense milk and milk foam. That is a must-try when you come to Hue.
After finish our lunch with famous "Bún bò Huế", a special noodles cooked with cow bones and served with beef and beef patties. We hit the road back to Da Nang.
We chose another road to come back, further than the National Highway 1A, but we could visit "The city of ghosts".
This road went along the rice paddy and passed a lagoon...
On the road, the local peole were preparing and decorating their houses. Because when we came, the New Year holiday was coming.

"The city of ghosts" is a huge grave yard with up to few thousand tombs. What makes this area famous is their scale.
They built huge tombs as graves for their ancestors and relatives. Some of the tombs may cost up to 500.000USD. That is crazy, right?
Notwithstanding any religions, Muslim, Christian, Protestians, Buddism, people built the tombs with Vietnamese architecture and culture.
There are more and more tombs, we just visited a small area...
I really don't want to stay in this area when it's dark 😂 Being surrounded by huge graves, there are no human, don't know what's inside the shadow of the tombs... :(((

Where we took a rest, opened favourite songs and... :))
Water buffalo. Friends of the farmers in Viet Nam. It usually works on the rice paddy with the farmers, sometimes they help to pull the heavy carts like this.
That was peaceful time at the no-named beach...
When we almost came to Da Nang, on a bridge, the sun was setting down...
And that was also the end of my trip...
