¡Hola comunidad de amantes de las mascotas! El día de hoy te quiero presentar al policía mas adorable de todo el condado y no es nadie mas que Bolty el Sheriff, esta fue una sesión de fotos que hice de mi perro disfrazado con un traje hecho por mi, y no se dejen engañar puede parecer que en las fotos Bolty es muy tranquilo pero la verdad nunca se queda quieto para la foto sin embargo tengo mis trucos para lograr capturar algunas buenas fotografías.
Hello pet lovers community! Today I want to introduce you to the most adorable cop in the whole county and he is none other than Bolty the sheriff, this was a photo shoot I did of my dog dressed up in a costume made by me, and don't be fooled it may look like in the pictures Bolty is very calm but the truth is he never sits still for the picture however I have my tricks to capture some good shots.
En mi país Venezuela los primeros meses del año se celebra una fiesta conocida como Carnaval para estas fechas es común ver a las personas sobre todo niños vistiendo disfraces, en mi caso quise ponerle algo divertido a mi perro y además que también son muchas las tiendas de mascotas que suelen hacer concursos de disfraces así que aproveche la oportunidad para participar en ellos.
In my country Venezuela during the first months of the year a party known as Carnival is celebrated for these dates is common to see people especially children wearing costumes, in my case I wanted to put something fun to my dog and there are also many pet stores that usually do costume contests so I took the opportunity to participate.
El disfraz lo diseñe yo, compre la tela azul para la camisa y le pedí el favor a una tía cuya profesión es ser costurera que la hiciera tomando las respectivas medidas de Bolty en el cuello, pecho y cintura. En el caso del sombrero utilice un envase plástico y lo corte un poco para ajustar la altura, le pegue con silicón un trozo de tela azul alrededor y para la visera use cartulina color negra, tambien le coloque un elástico a cada extremo del sombrero para colocárselo a Bolty y que no se le cayera al moverse.
I designed the costume myself, I bought the blue fabric for the shirt and I asked the favor to an aunt whose profession is to be a seamstress to make it taking the respective measures of Bolty in the neck, chest and waist. In the case of the hat I used a plastic container and cut it a little to adjust the height, I glued with silicone a piece of blue fabric around it and for the visor I used black cardboard, I also put an elastic at each end of the hat to put it on Bolty so it wouldn't fall off when he moved.
Las estrellas de sheriff las compre en una piñatería, se las pegue al traje y al sombrero. Para hacer las esposas utilice un cartón grueso donde realice el dibujo, hice el corte y luego fueron pintadas de negro y detalles con una pintura dorada. Para el cinturón use una correa vieja de mi papa y la ajuste a su tamaño. Esto fue lo mas difícil de colocarle a Bolty ya que si se movía mucho la correa se aflojaba y tenia que ajustarlo.
I bought the sheriff stars at a piñatería and glued them to the suit and hat. To make the handcuffs I used a thick cardboard where I made the drawing, made the cut and then they were painted black and details with gold paint. For the belt I used an old belt from my dad and adjusted it to his size. This was the hardest thing to put on Bolty because if he moved too much the strap would loosen and I had to adjust it.
El parque fue el sitio ideal para tomar fotos siempre que tengo intenciones de tomarle fotos llevo algún tipo de alimento como premio, en este caso use mortadela picada en pequeños trozos le doy la orden de quedarse quieto y si lo hace le doy un premio así también el se divierte en el proceso.
The park was the ideal place to take pictures whenever I intend to take pictures I always take some kind of food as a reward, in this case I used bologna chopped into small pieces I give him the order to stay still and if he does so I give him a prize so he also has fun in the process.
Cabe destacar que con estas fotos participamos en un concurso y ganamos una asesoría de entrenamiento canino donde nos fue genial y aprendimos mucho, pusimos en practica todos los consejos dados y fueron bastante útiles en cuanto al entrenamiento de Bolty.
It is worth mentioning that with these photos we participated in a contest and won a dog training consultancy where we did great and learned a lot, we put into practice all the advice given and it was very useful in terms of Bolty's training.
Terminada la sesión de fotos le quite el traje, realmente no es muy practico como para dejar que lo use por periodos prolongados así que digamos que es un disfraz solo para la foto y ya, además le di un merecido premio por portarse muy bien, la parte mas noble de nuestros perritos es que no te exigen grandes cosas para obedecer nuestras ordenes con cualquier comida extra que le des ellos son felices.
After the photo session I took off the suit, it is not really practical to let him wear it for long periods of time so let's say it is a costume just for the photo and that's it, I also gave him a well deserved prize for behaving very well, the most noble part of our dogs is that they do not demand big things to obey our orders with any extra food you give them, they are happy.
