Althed.com aims to provide a platform for education centers to market themselves through well written articles on the Steemit blockchain and other social media platform. We believe that every education center has a heart for their students. As such, we aim to collaborate with education centers in the region to showcase what they are doing. In doing so, we hope to:
i) Help parents understand what teachers are doing to guide the children.
ii) Tackle difficult or less explored topics in education.
iii) Partner with local education businesses to help parents and educators prepare for the future of education.
iv) Connect Blockchain platforms such as Steemit with education businesses.
The name 'althed' (pronounced as altered) is shaped in this way to mean many things, it could stand for, 'all things education', 'alternative thoughts in education' and even 'Alvin's thoughts on education'. As you may have guessed by now, Alvin is the owner of this site and also the evil genius behind this little project of his.
Alvin is an anti-hero by day and a writer by night. He is dubbed an anti-hero because he is a teacher trainer who strives to help his students, be it students in school or future teachers reach their fullest potential. As such, not everyone would see eye to eye with what he is doing. However, rest assured, he has their best interest at heart. Alvin is currently pursuing his PhD in comparative education policy.
i) Creating a weekly magazine on all things education.
ii) Help equip home tutors with the skills to enhance their classroom practice.
iii) Help teachers and centers utilize the Steem blockchain as a means to motivate students to complete their work.
