After about a month's stay, we definitely concluded that Tziki got quite used to her new home and us. She still irresistibly enjoys cuddling, has pushed her boundaries of movement around the yard, she even regularly joins us in the garden [seems like something horrible happen around there since she appeared so scared of]
Butterflies and lizards are still the main target, here and there I find her engrossed in observing sparrows, once she jumped into a pile of dry branches thinking that something yummy was hiding underneath, silly kitten.
But, kitten isn't kitten anymore...
For a long time, I was convinced that there were problems with intestinal parasites, which is a completely normal, the consequences are a bloated stomach, poor appetite and diarrhea, and slow growth of the animal.
Apart from the bloated stomach, Tziki had no other symptoms, she regularly enjoyed the granules [maybe even more than she should], doesn't look skinny at all, but tummy is a question mark.
As her favorite place is in my lap, she tries to use my every break to rest, simply jumps up, throws herself on the back, then drags my palm to head so that I can pet her, loud purring for another few minutes and then she fall in a deep sleep.
I felt something move in her stomach...or it seems so?
Is she...oh, she can't be, she is still kitten!
Dear darling and I was discussing is it possible for her to already be pregnant, then I did some calculation - possible, then I googled around for some additional info like when the cat is sexually mature - possible.
Another bump...yes, it's possible, it's not just Tziki, it's Tzikis!
Trying to cool off her belly I guess, on this photo a little bump is visible closer to her back legs, it was a crazy party inside as her tummy was bouncing hard 馃槀
Dear darling still didn't want to believe in my conclusions or what I saw and felt, his denial was so hilarious, almost like she betrayed him.
Although I can't deny the fact that she sneaked in, all I asked for was just one cat! Currently we are having several occasionally stopping by to check are there any leftovers, then horrible fight happen.
Thing that makes me worry a bit, is where she is gonna give birth? Unfortunately I can't have her in, and male greedy cats are lurking around constantly. Most often they are prone to kill little ones, the drive to fend off competition.
On the other hand knowing cats, I am sure she will find some proper safe place to do the job.
Real question is, will she stay after? Cats are also well known as wandering ones, except for the mommy period, mostly likely they prefer to settle until everything pass and then keep on moving.
I know I was summonsing just ONE cat, but I must admit these random bumps while she naps in my lap makes me smile and wonder what color will the kittens be, how many of them are inside, when will it happen and how is she gonna to handle all of that, when she is a kitten herself who still enjoys her clumsiness.
Worth of mention, pregnant cat farts a lot!
