In this advanced world where the Internet has already become a crucial part of day-to-day life, its presence and its reliability seem to be irreplaceable in our lives. we need a fast a stable connection now to make good use of the internet, especially those who are working from home or working remotely.
The problem is that the internet service provider here in my country is not that reliable, and most of them are just bad. Most of them try to secure a place in the city or town, and not a single company wants to try to open a new connection to the rural area, which is understandable because of the profitability. Even when they try to get a piece of cake in the city, sometimes their service is just shitty.
But now Starlink which belongs to Elon Musk has officially opened its service in the country, with its wide reach it has become a new primadonna, especially after Elon Musk himself announced its operation when he became a guest at the World Water Forum that has been concluded some time ago in Bali.
Its wide reach, fast speed, reliability, and also price make Starlink so tempting for the internet user who really wants a good and reliable internet service provider. Although the prices for the hardware are quite high, and the monthly subscription is also still high, at least it stays at the premium level for the local internet service provider company. But Starlink's presence certainly put some pressure on them.
They even almost "cry" in the media asking for government intervention to monitor the price and also the involvement to strictly regulate Starlink operations. They also cry out about how the government picked foreign investment as the golden kids with a lot of attention and loose regulation.
if only they are doing better for their service, I guess Starlink's presence will not attract a lot of attention from the people, since their service is reliable. But now since their position is in danger, they want help from the government. Bad!
