The 2021 wildfire is the third worst. The season really took off after BC was locked in the Heat Dome. Places that commonly see temperatures reach the lower 40’s C were now seeing daily temperature records fall day after day.

Finally, Lytton BC reached a scorching temperature of 49.6 degrees C.

The following day a wildfire was sparked on the edge of the community and within minutes the entire community was destroyed by fire. I collected a lot of footage over the past few summers and am still processing it. Much was captured in harsh conditions and has been a challenge to edit. As I have new images and stories of our progressively worse fire seasons I will be introducing them.
