... a 70km high glacier ski traverse in the Canadian Rockies. Typically this trip is 4 days but we chose to take our time on and do the entire traverse from Peyto Lake to Sherbrooke Lake over six days. This way we would have a couple ski days as well without having to travel to another hut.As usual I had my camera and all around outdoor lens the Tamron 18-400mm, which adds a solid ten pounds more to my pack but when you go to a place like this the weight is worth it. In this case I shot this at 170mm plus did a mid range crop of the image in post. The longer lens was worth it.

On day four of the trip we were greeted with this incredible alpenglow as we began our day at Balfour hut. Luckily this was one of our ski days so we had time to enjoy the morning and not be rushed with packing. The glow burned before flashing into the blue sky of the day.
