Since school days I have heard many stories about floating stone . But I haven't seen till date .
These are the pictures taken at Rameshwaram, India by my friend during his visit. I was surprised to see this . So, I decided to post it on steemit.

Many people believe that these stones are related to Hindu God RAM. They believe that these stones were used by God Ram to build bridge across the sea.
In recent time, science has proved that these are pumice stone. Pumice stone are formed after condansation of hot volcanic larva. Intially they are at 1600 degree celcius. In the process of cooling they trap air. due to trapping of air they becomes light and float in water.Though it looks like stone , it do not weigh more.
