"decentralization is better than centralization in all sytems that need redundancy" I can say that centralization is better than decentralization in all systems that need speed. Since crypto

No, I don't want referendum on every single law, I want voters proxies vote for most of laws, but voters to have an option to override the vote of their proxy on a single law if they disagree. Do corporations

They didn't give early stock market investors pass in 1933 confiscating their gold, they don't want to repeal securities act of 1934 as of today, why bet on different outcome this time ? Only may be if

Talking about mega bail outs, 1933 style confiscation of profits from crypto rich looks probable

Thinking about analogy with roaring 1920s, we had roaring 2010s of rapid crypto rise. Then there was gold act of 1933 confiscating huge profits of everybody who called Federal Reserve stock market pump

In our bid to legislators to repeal evil laws or leave our crypto tokens immune from them, I also suggest to consider that many bad things happened in 1930s, not just securities act of 1934. It was

I think they invest based on some recommendation from some trusted sources. It's perfectly normal to trust your advisers and invest into something that you do not understand yourself. And it's also normal

Why do class actions have such a success ? If ICO contract was not violated then justice should not award anything to plaintiffs. So the way justice works is the source of over-regulation problems ?

Re: @shugenja: "If your assets are not protected by cryptography and privacy, what is to stop ANYBODY (person, organization, GOVT) from digitally bankrupting you?" There is nothing to stop GOVT

I say allow everybody to invest. Currently ICOs allow everybody to invest and everybody like them. Careless impatient stupid newbies will eventually waste their savings, go broke and stop investing in

@shugenja, why is direct vote = mob rule ? All crypto currencies work through direct vote. Do you imply that they are all controlled by mob ? Indirect vote is more prone to mob rule because it creates

If this is true then you should be able to answer this question: which providers added bitUSD, bitBTC and bitCNY ? Obviously I don't want to trade in providers assets like open.USD or open.BTC or open.CNY

I like that they at least took position of waiting in limbo of unawareness instead of banning. But I don't like that nobody expressed problems with existing SEC regulations. All they asked is funding,

Government corruption is just rebalancing of power disbalance that was created by bad laws, so instead of fighting corruption or complaining about it we should abolish laws that created such disbalance.

As soon as society acknowledges that giving the same voting rights to people who consume public benefits and people who pay tax leads to unsustainable self destructing society, centralization problems

I think current bad laws and bad governments are the sources of value of decentralization, which is why it's currently overvalued. Ideal government is as much decentralized as any crypto currency, just

No, first they need to allow all people to invest into private or public securities. And then think about taxing it too, of course. Pushing ICOs into illegal territory with SEC laws does not help tax

I think for many decentralizaiton and privacy is just a way to evade current bad laws. I think this approach will have a lot of public resistance. See more details here:

You fell victim to these ICOs because they are forced to not guarantee anything by current regulations, so you don't have a choice between those that guarantee and those that don't guarantee. The reason

Jay Clayton forgot to mention that only rich "investors are entitled to the benefits of securities laws", poor or small investors are banned from participation rather than entitled to the benefits.
