I like this prompt ! Here's what I wrote;
@alonicus/worldbuilding-prompt-754-rising-from-the-ruins
It fits into what I call my "Mushroom Blight" series, in the distant past of my sci-fi setting.
One day I'll get around to putting together a proper timeline - it covers about 300,000 years in total, although some of it, especially the older parts, are pretty sketchy on detail (or as I like to think of it, full of stories I just haven't told yet 😁).
It's also full of things I blatantly plagiarised (in my much younger years.... I started this setting when I was about 8 years old, I hadn't heard of IP back then !), so I'll need to edit those out. I'll also have to work out what to do with all the inconsistencies - part of me thinks, "hey, just leave them in, the whole point with ancient histories is that they're a confusing mess from different fragmentary sources."
