I've been thinking about this for a while. It's the kind of thing where I'd probably only be able to put small amounts of fiat into it - maybe £100-£200 a month.
That suggests silver is a better thing to stack, but there's one big thing stopping me; VAT. It feels like it's a choice between buying from places like eBay and hoping not too many of the purchases are lead, or buying from reputable places who have to charge 20% VAT. Unless I put it through my business (which my accountant would hate !) it's going to need a significant price rise before the actual value is covered. What am I missing ?
