NFC-based Contactless Payment Options by Google in India
This time when everyone is trying to introduce the ways to maintain social distancing and contactless life Google has come forward to introduce contactless payment as well in India. Because of the covid-19 pandemic, there are many more innovations happening in terms of contact list delivery and now this one is contactless payment. All these are pretty helpful for us to maintain social distancing since we are still not in the position to get rid of covid-19 this year.
Google has launched NFC based payment solution in the country and now just and make the payment in addition without event touching anything in physical.
Google Pay users will now be able to make contactless payments using the near-field communication (NFC) technology system that the tech giant is currently testing in India. Google Pay, which until now supported a UPI-based payment method will give users the option to add their card numbers for direct payment. As per reports and a Google support page, "only Axis Visa cards and SBI Visa credit cards can be added to your payment methods"
Google already have their UPI payment service in the country known as G-PAY which processes the payment transaction through the wallet using bank account. Now the company has introduced this (NFC) near field communication-based payment service that will allow credit cardholders to make the payment with just tap and pay and this will not take more than a few seconds time.
India is a growing market for E-Commerce and various payment solutions as the country is doing well in terms of accepting innovative Technological Solutions. During the time of the covid-19 lockdown, so many things have gone online and in the same way, the online payments market has also grown up with a significant number of people like pay the money from the comfort of home or not touching anything in physical in the stores.
Now when I visit the store for buying stuff then I completely avoid handing over cash and even not feeling comfortable use my card with the swipe machine. All the many stores have all the install wallet payment option which allows paying the money E with no physical contact but not all stores have it as of now I will be very happy if I e did the option to make the payment at the stores using my credit card and that to contactless then I think it is gonna be great and a wonderful addition in safety measures covid-19.
