Could've Would've Should've (Lessons learned from missed opportunities)
In this crypto world it feels like my undivided attention is required. Though It's not entirely possible , I know that I can do better.
Yesterday I came across some information about the Vyb airdrop. Apparently it was available to all who had been active on the blockchain since over a month ago.
My hive account was opened towards the later part of November and I should have qualified for the airdrop(or so I think), I was left to watch from the stands while others claimed their early Christmas freebies. I've made my peace with it though, I know that there will be a lot more opportunities to salvage on the blockchain.
LESSONS LEARNED FROM MISSING OUT
Even though I missed out on the opportunity, I saw a plus side to what happened and I think that that's what's really important about disappointments.
I actually found out about the airdrop from my friend @ebingo 's whatsapp status update. He showed me how to access my Leodex wallet and helped me understand how it basically works.
well, It's not like it amounted to the intended outcome anyways, but reflecting on it today I realized that I needed to be more informed in order to stay up to speed with this dynamic ecosystem called Hive.
On another thought yet it is impossible to stay on top of everything, "You win some, you lose some" right?
Nonetheless, I will have to make out more time for reading of daily updates, Increasing and keep up (as much as possible) with my 'following' and 'community' feeds if I hope to be ready for whatever comes my way.
Exploring other Dapps
Today I signed in to my eccency account for the first time and I Immediately came accross the new @splinterlands challenge- something I most likely may not have seen or maybe not at the time I did if I had gone there.
Since joining Hive about a month ago the overwhelming majority of my activity has been on Peakd. I Play splinterlands from time to time, a little gods unchained, a single post on Leofinance and that's it.
With the entire ecosystem available to me, I've just been keeping myself boxed in.
Maybe It's just my learning process but it's taking quite some time. I do find relief in the fact that I'm not totally in the dark though.. Yesterday a friend of mine asked me what an NFT was and chuckled within myself realizing again that there are levels to knowledge and all that's important is the thirst for it and what you do with knowledge you posses.
We are in an information age and being in a country like Nigeria where Information is not Largely accessible, it does good to be wise with any information obtain, but I guess this is applicable to anyone anywhere.
Exciting prospects
I anticipate a time when web 3.0 would have gained global traction. Being part of the first thousands to usher in that era is really something. Some part of me still fears the chaotic potential of new technology considering all the factors that come to play though, but that's a story for another day.
Thanks for reading!
