It was such a beautiful weather yesterday for a walk along the Hallwyl Water Castle along Lake Hallwil.
Hallwyl Castle, one of the most beautiful and romantic water castles in Switzerland, is located at the outflow of Lake Hallwil in the Valley of Aargau in Switzerland. It was built in the 12th century and was owned by the von Hallwyl family until the 20th century.
The multi-faceted museum in the inside courtyard and castle is unfortunately closed.
Around the lake Hallwylthere are protected zones so the shores have remained undeveloped and offer walkers an ideal place for relaxing with the intact flora and fauna.
A five-hour walk around the 22 km circuit along the lake runs almost exclusively directly along the lakeshore.
The water wheel for the castle mill on the creek which years ago provided people with flour.
