Nizwa the second largest city in Oman with the one of the oldest and most impressive forst. Located about 180 km from Muscat far away. Of course not to forget the nice Souq where you can finde traditional handcrafts, spices, jewelry and more. A one day trip here is a great time, you can visit after Nizwa Fort and the Souq also the ancient irrigation system or the Tanuf Ruins. Fort Nizwa is a large castle in the northern part of the city. It was built in the 17th century.
