I hope you are all well and are enjoying the weekend, for today i have a few shots from my trip last year around the beautiful country of Romania. Here is the castle Bran, named also Dracula Castle, is located in Bran, near Brasov city and about 160 km from Bucharest. Thr historic fortress was built in 1377, served many roles over the centuries, including a royal residence for Queen Marieof Romania in the early 20th century.
You can visit and explore the medieval architecture and inside the exhibits.
The conection between Dracula and Bran Castle is a modern myth. Dracula is a fictional character created by Bram Stoker in his novel. Stoker may have loosely based Count Dracula on Vlad III, also know as Vlad the Impaler or Vlad Dracula. The castleits looks like a classic Gothic vampire castle and is the only castle in Transylvaniathat fits the vague description from Stoker.
